Use Negative Emotions for Motivation

The anxiety that you feel when you're on social media in reference to the fear of missing out or comparison of yourself to others is an innate psychological effect due to humans having tendencies to pursue personal development and increased progression.

Use anxiety to your benefit to motivate you in pursuing self growth. Realize that this is natural in the self actualization process.

There may be times where the feelings are overwhelming and debilitating, but realize that this is the process of self development.

In this instance, it's important to keep pushing forward - to not let your emotions control you and cause you to become a victim of your psychology.
